3:15-4:15PM | Prayer & Worship Hour

Erdman Center Lounge

Led by Jon Seale and worship team, spend time in song, reflection, prayer, and meditation. This hour will be available as a place for stillness and prayer.

4:00-5:30PM | 90-min Yoga session‌

Yoga Stream

$20. This is 90-min class welding together elements of vinyasa and high intensity training to bring you a unique and fiery experience. This class is challenging yet accessible. If you’re interested, please meet Esther Schissler in the lobby of Erdman at 3:20pm. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the studio.

3:00-6:00PM | Writing Exercise (Self-guided)

Grab your pen, retreat booklet, and a writing prompt (available for you in the Erdman Center Atrium) for this exercise that will walk you through a writing process, guiding you to slow down and grow in seeing the unseen and experiencing the presence of God. Find a space where you will be uninterrupted and can take your time with this. Suggested locations include: Erdman Center 3rd Fl. Lounge, the Princeton Theological Seminary Library across the street, or any of the sites noted on the “Sacred Spaces Map” in your Retreat App.

3:00-6:00PM | Reading Hour (Self-guided)

Location Self-determined


Slow down and read. Set a timer on your phone for 1 hour so that you don’t have to check the clock. Continue reading the Marva Dawn material provided, or reading material of your choosing and tuck yourself away for an uninterrupted reading hour. Suggested locations include: Erdman Center 3rd Fl. Lounge, the Princeton Theological Seminary Library across the street, or any of the sites noted on the “Sacred Spaces Map” in your Retreat App.

3:00PM-6:00PM | Journaling Hour 
(Self-guided)

You’ll need your pen and your retreat booklet. Journaling pages provided towards the back. Think back over your week (perhaps even looking at your schedule) to try and remember each day, each appointment, each conversation, each commute, each meal. Write down your initial impressions of, reflections on, and thoughts about the week. Then go back through the week and intentionally find reason(s) to thank God – for what he is doing, for how he is with you throughout your troubles, for ways in which he has supported you, for people he brought across your path, etc. Find a space where you will be uninterrupted and can take your time with this. Suggested locations include: Erdman Center 3rd Fl. Lounge, the Princeton Theological Seminary Library across the street, or any of the sites noted on the “Sacred Spaces Map” in your Retreat App.

2:00-6:00PM Running Trail / Prayer Walk

Use your afternoon for physical and spiritual rest and rejuvenation. See maps in Retreat App. If choosing the prayer walk, pray aloud to God as you would when walking alongside a good friend and practice entering into His presence in new ways. If choosing the run, see Resources tab for an Audio Playlist to accompany your time (optional).

2:00-6:00PM Sacred Space Visit / Time of Stillness

Choose a venue and plan for an uninterrupted hour of stillness, quietude, and communion with God in one of the suggested sacred spaces.
