SUNDAY, JUNE 3, 2018

 
Meals: All meals, with the exception of the Special Events, will be held in the main dining room at the TD Convention Center on Level 2, Hall 1 (directly across from the Ballroom). All Special Events will be held in their designated spaces. PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU CHECK THE BOX FOR THE SPECIAL EVENT THAT YOU PLAN TO ATTEND WHEN YOU REGISTER FOR THE MEALPLAN. You must register and pay in advance online at mealplan.umcsc.org by Friday, May 18. Payments may be made with debit/credit or electronic checks. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your payment was not successful and you will need to register again. There will be no refunds. Meal tickets will be distributed at the Pre-paid Meal Ticket Table by the Information Booth on Level 2 in the Pre-function Area for all persons who registered online. Menus can be found online and in the Hospitality Section of the preconference packet.

Health Screening: 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., TD Convention Center Level 2, Hall 1. Open only to Health Plan Members free to those members. Offered by the Conference Benefits Office. Online registration details will be mailed to you in April. It is imperative that you pre-register so we will have the necessary supplies.

Photo Session: Photos will made daily in the TD Convention Center Level 2 Hall 1. 7:00 a.m. to noon and 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. We would like to photograph all clergy persons (local pastors, elders, deacons, commissioned, ordained, active and retired).

Holy Communion: 7:30 a.m. in the TD Convention Center Level 2, Room 203.

American Red Cross Blood Drive: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the TD Convention Center Level 2, Hall 1. Help save up to three lives by donating blood! Register online at redcrossblood.org before annual conference (enter sponsor code: scmethodist), or register in person when you arrive in Greenville. The need is constant. The gratification is instant. Give blood!

Kidz Konference: Set up to host our most precious guests – the children of the conference! 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the TD Convention Center Level 1, Rooms 100, 103 and 104 for children from 6 weeks to those who have finished fifth grade. Children will be cared for on site at no charge. You must register in advance at umcsc.org. Click on the 2018 Annual Conference page and then click on the Kidz Konference link.

Reconciling Ministries of S.C. Breakfast Gathering: 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 847 Cleveland St., Greenville, SC 29601. A panel of individuals will share their stories and experiences. Both clergy and laity are invited to attend. Cost is $15, including a full breakfast buffet. RSVP at

Ministers’ Spouses Luncheon: 11 a.m. in the TD Convention Center Level 1 Room 102C. Reservations must be made by Friday, May 18. No reservations will be taken at conference or at the door. Hands-On Mission Expo: TD Convention Center Level 2, Hall 1. Monday-Tuesday, June 4-5, noon-2:00 p.m. Six different mission projects will be demonstrated. Monday: Virginia Wingard UMC will present its Plarn Ministry, Wesley UMC will present its Dresses for Girls Ministry, and the Conference Early Response Team/Disaster Response will present different methods used in securing a site following a disaster. Tuesday: St. John UMC, Aiken, will present its Jack Meeks Memorial Wheelchair Ramp Ministry; Central UMC, Florence, will present its B.E.D.S. (Better Education Deserves Sleep) Ministry; and Aldersgate UMC, Greenville, will present its Reusable Hygiene Kit Ministry. Instructions will be provided. Conference Finance & Administration Learning Event & Dinner: TD Convention Center Room 102A, 6:00 p.m. We will discuss how apportionments are calculated and stewardship in the local church. You must register in advance by buying a meal plan at mealplan.umcsc.org. The only cost is the meal ticket. Participation is limited to 50 people. The deadline for registering and purchasing the meal is Friday, May 18.

Spartanburg Methodist College: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Burgers with SMC at St. Matthew UMC, 701 Cleveland St., Greenville, SC 29601. At this free event, SMC President Scott Cochran will provide an update about the college, its programs and its relationship with the S.C. UMC. Rob Renfroe, pastor of discipleship at The Woodlands UMC in Texas. He is the president of Good News, a national organization committed to the doctrinal integrity and spiritual renewal of the United Methodist Church. This gathering will include a time of discussion and prayer related to how orthodox, evangelical United Methodists navigate a way forward. Cost of the dinner is $5, payable at the door.
